Emergency Response Centre Physician (ERCP)

Module Functionality Description

The Emergency Response Center Physician (ERCP) is a qualified doctor present in the Center with a proper agent setup and application system. The emergency physician doctor is assisted by ERCP computer system and solution supported by the medical assisting algorithms. Every leg of ERCP transaction is recorded in the system including the ERCP clinical support to the EMT.
System has a built-in intelligence: EMT can directly call the ERCP group of doctors on duty for assistance and ERCP receives the voice call along with a pop-up screen filled with current incident details piled up at both CO and DO until that time, as a record.
System's GUI is easy to navigate to the doctor using our system where the questions are framed in a tree decision making structure. A set of different questions are loaded based on the chief complaint selected by the ERCP. Entire navigation and remarks along with the voice log is stored for further reference. ERCP can make note of special notes in the place provided in the screen.

The ERCP module has provision to integrate with the field devices like MDT which can further extended to CCTV and Laptops. This helps the ERCP to monitor the condition of the patient in Live, now further can be extended to have a video call with EMT and patient for Live assessment of the patient through MDT, Smartphone, CCTV camera or Laptop. EMT can share pictures of the patient or any medical files available with the patient for ERCP’s reference.
ERCP module is integrated with the CTI Softphone for calling, conferencing or transferring the call with other ERCP/ EMT.
The ERCP has a provision to capture the vitals of the patient. The vitals of a patient can be added in different time intervals to understand the patient condition whether it is worsening or stabilizing.
The ERCP’s consent will be taken by the EMT if the patient to be transferred to Private Hospital. For this, the ERCP application will have a facility to open GIS maps to visualize the hospitals, which are empanelled under 108 and are available nearer to the incident location. Based on the condition of the patient the ERCP will recommend the EMT to take the patient to either Private or Government Medical facility.
The ERCP can view the Single record of multiple episodes of multiple ERCPs in a form of report to understand the treatment provided to the patient by other ERCPs.

Module Features

S.No Feature Feature Description
1 Intelligent Auto Pop up for the ERCP When an EMT/ EMSO calls the ERCP, the system automatically identifies the Incident Id for which the EMT/ EMSO has called and the respective pop up will be displayed on screen.
2 Integrated ERCP Assessment Guidelines and Protocols Doctors’ defined emergency protocols are integrated for helping the physician in the command center to follow the set of protocols for assessing the patient. This will helps the physician to assess the patient in a systematic order.
3 Integrated Advice Protocols Once the assessment is done then the advice to be given is also available for the doctors to see and advice the EMSO/ EMT and if any other advice is to be given based on his experience then it has to be captured in the notes section.
4 Algorithms for Multiple Doctors to work on single Incident Let us assume that at first the EMT/ EMSO called the ERCP desk and let’s say Dr. A has received the call and has given assessment and advice to the EMT/ EMSO. Later after few minutes if the EMT/ EMSO calls back and now the call landed at Dr. B so in this scenario the second doctor (Dr. B) can see the assessment and the advice given by the first doctor (Dr. A) and based on that he can provide his/ her advice.
5 Integrated Standard Guidelines for Special Situations These are also the guidelines for the ERCP to follow but this is an interactive guideline. Here based on the selected complaint a set of different questions are loaded and based on the answers of the EMT/ EMSO the questions will be asked. These are all the standard protocols.
6 Provision to Capture Patient Vitals The ERCP has the provision to capture the Patient vitals in regular intervals from the EMT/ EMSO and can analyse the condition of the patient (is patient is recovering or worsening). Storing the applied stabilization process for future references
7 Integrated GIS Maps GIS maps helps the ERCPs to visualize the nearest hospitals available for the patient to handover. The ERCP can guide the EMT/ EMSO to take to a hospital, which they can see on their maps.
8 Integrated Softphone Softphone feature for the ERO to make calls, conference calls, transfer calls, dropping a call, dropping a specific caller from a conference call
9 Medical Triage Protocols & Procedures: The objective of triage is to sort casualties so that the maximum number of lives can be saved through effective utilization of rescuers, medical personnel and medical facilities.
Medical Triage Protocols
1. To prioritize the victim, based on the severity of emergency using standardised procedures.
2. Enables the ERO to provide step – by – step first aid information to the caller to stabilize the victim before Vehicle reaches the scene.
3. Identifying the severity of the victim which enables the ERO Application to choose the event and assign the appropriate medical facilities (ALS/BLS).
